We spent all day yesterday trying to repair a road which was our service project with the Kenyan Youth. The smells were difficult at first as we moved a lot of trash and worked on preparing the road for the gravel. We helped to unload three trucks of gravel over sections of the road between rain storms. We got to see what our work had accomplished quickly as the rain were hard and forced the gutters we were helping to clear flow smoothly.
We closed camp today with an amazing time of worship. I was overcome by the Holy Spirits presence with us. Tears flowed for a bit before I had the opportunity to share with the camp and local church who joined us for service. I felt the Lord used the time in a powerful way to speak through his word. It was truly a God moment.
Pastor Patrick, Mama Lilian, Pastor Daniel, Vickie Reynen and the list can go on have helped our time to be most effective. I have been impressed with their depth of the Lord and the understanding of scripture as we have shared together in the last few days together at different times.
We are now in Nakuru where we will rest and prepare for a safari tomorrow and a day of much needed R&R. We are thankful for running water, sinks, and toilets once again. Ahh the little things in life.
We will do a childrens ministry outreach on Tuesday and Wednesday in Solie. These will be days to see Gods amazing hand at work in our lives and those around us.
We do have a few members who have sore throats after drinking some rain water that had been collected from the rains yesterday. We will rest up and prepare for the days ahead.
We will Skype with some of you tomorrow after our safari. Thanks so much for your continued voice of prayer to the Lord for us. We love you and are so thankful for you!!!
